Sunwarrior is a Vegan Company that Reaches Everyone

Sunwarrior, a vegan supplement company, has begun to reach more and more non-vegans.

Sunwarrior, a vegan supplement company in Southern Nevada, wants to redefine how the world sees vegans and vegan food. The company has been growing rapidly in the last few years, catering to the needs of vegetarians and vegans interested in fitness, but things are shifting. Sunwarrior has begun to reach people who aren’t vegan or may not even know what vegan means.

“From inception our company has been commited to being 100% vegan, but we don’t want that to scare off customers who aren’t vegans,” Said Brent Hauver, cofounder of Sunwarrior. “We’ve grown into some surprising markets. We’re happy to have them and supply them with plant based alternatives for healthy living. Our supplements really are for everyone, not just vegans and vegetarians.”

The different types of vegetarians can be confusing for people, making the concept hard to approach. There are lacto, ovo, and lacto-ovo vegetarians, fruitarians, flexitarians, pescatarians, macrobiotics, and vegans. Each one eats a more plant based diet, but some eat meat when they want, some eat fish, some eat only fruits, seeds, and nuts, some eat eggs, and some eat dairy.

“Vegan is probably the easiest type of vegetarian to define,” said Hauver. “Vegans don’t use any animal products, period. This makes our supplements a healthy addition to any diet or lifestyle. Our vegetarian protein powder, made for smoothies, is raw, vegan, plant based food that also tastes fantastic.”

Vegans don’t eat meat, fish, poultry, eggs, dairy, or honey. They avoid processed foods that often involve animal byproducts, like refined sugar and gelatin. Vegans also abstain from using products made from or by animals including silk, wool, fur, leather, and cosmetics or soaps that have animal products in them.

“Most people think there must be nothing left for vegans to eat or that our meals must be bland and boring,” Hauver said. “This just isn’t the case. Not at all. With fruits, grains, vegetables, tofu, tempeh, nuts, seeds, mushrooms, legumes, and our supplements, the recipes are endless.”

What is vegan?” Hauver said, “It’s an all plant based lifestyle with plenty of food choices and more than a few advantages. Eating vegan food doesn’t automatically make you a vegan, but it’s a good step toward improving health and fitness.”
